Piano Pedagogy - Lessons for teachers
Piano pedagogy is the study of teaching piano.
Many piano teachers started out teaching as part of a college preparatory program, or under the guidance of their own piano teachers...or even on their own. There are numerous degree programs in piano pedagogy as well, though these were not as common when I was a student. Other teachers, myself included, started teaching piano while studying music education in college.
However you begin your piano teaching adventure, there is always something new to learn. I love this about teaching!
