About Adrienne
Adrienne McKinney, M.M.
Adrienne McKinney, accomplished musician, composer, and UMTC Elite Educator, owns and operates McKinney Music Studio and Pianolex Music Publications, and is the piano instructor at SCAPA at Bluegrass for grades 4-8. She provides personalized, engaging music instruction and composes appealing modern music for pianists of all ages. Recently, Adrienne became an International Best-Selling Author with her chapter contribution to The Power of Why: Why 25 Musicians Composed a Legacy.
In addition to teaching and composing, Adrienne is a frequent adjudicator for the National Guild of Piano Teachers National Piano Playing Auditions. She also judges local and regional festivals and contests.

Student Successes
Adrienne's students have been accepted into the elementary and high school piano programs at the School for the Creative and Performing Arts (SCAPA), and into the Governor's School for the Arts (GSA). Her students are involved in performances throughout the year, ranging from recitals and annual Piano Guild exams to competitions such as the LMAS Sonatina Competition, Lexington Bach Contest and the Nathaniel Patch Piano Competition. Her students have graduated from university music degree programs, or have recently studied piano and horn at the university level.
